David Tennant Treat 4 Today for Thursday 9th November 2017

The David Tennant Treat 4 Today is a video of David Tennant as Richard II from Act IV, scene 2. This scene also known as The Deposition Scene.

David Tennant starred in Richard II for The Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon from Thursday 10th October 2013 until Saturday 16th November (40 performances) before the production transferred to the Barbican Centre in  London from Monday 9th December 2013 until Saturday 25th January 2014 (45 performances). David played 85 performances in total. The performance on 13th November was filmed which is the performance shown in this video.

David Tennant reprised his role as Richard II for The Royal Shakespeare Company during January 2016. This was part of a collaboration between The RSC and The Barbican Centre in London to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. The event was called King And Country: Shakespeare's Great Cycle Of Kings which was a 4-play season cycle of four production in repertoire. As well as David Tennant in Richard II,  the other production were Henry IV Parts I and II and Henry V. The whole event run between Saturday 7 November 2015 until Sunday 24th January 2016, but unfortunately there were only nine performances of Richard II.

The King And Country cycle of plays (including David Tennant in Richard II) transferred to the US. The performances were between Thursday 24th March and Sunday 1st May 2016 at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music (BAM) Harvey Theater. David Tennant played 10 performances of Richard II in the US.

Apologies if this video does not play in your country.
